Terms and conditions for Cuckoo “poetry competition”

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. By taking part in the Cuckoo ‘poetry competition’ competition you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

The promoter is Cuckoo Fibre Limited, registered office Milford House, Pynes Hill, Exeter, EX2 5AZ (“the Promoter”).

This promotion will be run in conjunction with the Promoter’s partner, Poetic Unity (“collaborator”), who will responsible for judging entrants and selecting a winner

ELIGIBILITY

1.     This promotion is only open to UK residents aged 18 years or over.

2.     The following are ineligible: (i) employees or agencies of Cuckoo Fibre Limited; and (ii) anyone else connected professionally to this promotion

PROMOTION PERIOD

3.     This promotion will be available to social media users who engage in the  promotion The promotion closes on midday Monday 19 May at 5pm

HOW TO ENTER

4.     The promotion will be conducted jointly via Cuckoo Fibre Ltd’s and Poetic Unity

5.     To enter the promotion, eligible individuals must:

a. Record a 60 second spoken word poem as directed in the social media post above 

b. Send entrants via social.media@cuckoo.co

LIMITS ON ENTRY

6.     There are no limit on the number of entries per person but multiple entries do not increase chances of winning.

WINNER NOTIFICATION

7.     Competition closes on ____

8.    Poetic Unity will judge the winning entrant

9.    The winner will be selected at random no later than 10 am on XXXX

10.     The winner will be notified via The Promoters social media. The winner will be announced no later than 5pm on friday 23 May

PRIZES 

9.     The winner will receive an Amazon gift card worth £500. Prizes will be delivered via email.

10.   The decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

11. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.

GENERAL

12.  If, for any reason, the winner does not take the prize at the time stipulated, then the prize will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash. For the avoidance of doubt, no cash alternative is available at any time, and the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize if relevant.

13. The winning entry will be published on the promoter’s social media channel and blog

14.  By entering this promotion, you agree for the Promoter to include details of your win on the Promoter’s website, Facebook, Instagram, and other social media accounts for marketing and promotional purposes strictly relating to the prize draw.

Data Storage and Platform:

All video submissions must be sent by email. Your video will be stored privately on YouTube for the duration of the competition and for a period of four weeks following the conclusion of the event.

Extended Retention for Winners and Runners-Up:

Should you be selected as a winner or runner-up, we may retain your video for an additional period, subject to your explicit consent. Any extended storage will be agreed upon with you beforehand.

Purpose of Data Processing:

Your video and associated data will be used solely for the purposes stated in our competition terms and conditions.

Access Restrictions:

Access to the videos is restricted to the designated Cuckoo employees responsible for running the competition and the appointed judges.

Your Rights Under UK GDPR:

17. Any entries will be stored securely by The Promoter. In order to share content with Poetic Unity, The Promoter will upload videos to YouTube as “private videos”

18. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts of the United Kingdom.

LIMITS ON ENTRY

6.     A maximum of two (2) entries per person can be submitted.

WINNER NOTIFICATION

7.     Cuckoo will select three (3) winners at random no later than  4 pm on 22 April

8.     The winners will be notified via The Promoters social media. The winners will be announced no later than 5pm on 22 April.

PRIZES

10.   The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. By taking part in the Cuckoo ‘cycling’ prize draw you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

This promotion will be run in conjunction with the Promoter’s partner, Cyclists Touring Club t/a Cycling UK, but the Promoter will retain responsibility for running the prize draw and selecting a winner
