A big change to your service

As you know, Cuckoo can sadly no longer be your broadband provider. So we’ve arranged for you to switch to Home Telecom (who are also rated excellent on Trustpilot). Reassuringly, there’ll be no disruption to your connection. And no immediate change to the price.

We realise you probably have a few questions and hope you find the following answers helpful.

You’ll officially become a Home Telecom customer on 01 April 2024.

We’re afraid not. As we explained, because of the type of connection at your address, we can’t provide the fast, reliable service you deserve any longer.

The good news is the price you pay will stay the same. If there’s any change in the future, Home Telecom will let you know.

The equally good news is that the speed of your internet will also stay the same. Again, if there’s any change to your service in the future, Home Telecom will be in touch.

To make things as easy as possible, you’ll get your March bill from Cuckoo as usual. Home Telecom will then transfer your Direct Debit or other type of payment so that you don’t have to lift a finger. Your April bill will come from them.

Home Telecom will soon be in touch with you with all the details of how you can get in touch with them. They’ll introduce themselves and explain what you can expect.

Absolutely. If you’re waiting for your installation, it should take place exactly as planned.

As long as you follow your Terms & Conditions, you can cancel your agreement anytime. If you do decide to call it a day (we’d be sorry to see you go), we’ll confirm everything in an email.

Not at all. The Terms & Conditions of our contract with you allow us to transfer the contract to another provider as long as we give you 30 days notice.

You certainly can. Right up until 01 April when Home Telecom become your provider, we can set-up or change a Direct Debit as we do now. Just get in touch.

Again, that’s a big yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your Cuckoo internet speed to your heart’s content until 01 April.

No need. Home Telecom will arrange to transfer your Direct Debit over to them so you don’t need to do anything.

From 01 April 2024, Home Telecom will be in the hot seat. If they’re planning to make any changes, we’re sure you’ll be the first to know.

The terms in your Cuckoo contract do allow us to share your data with Home Telecom in this very particular instance. We completely understand the sensitivity around this and will of course continue to process your data strictly in accordance with the Cuckoo Internet Privacy Policy and at all times in accordance with UK data protection law.

In this particular circumstance, our Terms & Conditions allow us to transfer your contract, provided there is no negative impact on you. In Home Telecom, we know we have found an excellent Internet Service Provider for you, who shares many of our values.

We have vetted Home Telecom extensively, in order to find you an Internet Service Provider that will continue to give you the broadband you're used to, with the customer service you deserve.
